Larry is a local Missouri fishing Pro that also guides for musky on Pomme de Terre and the Lake of the Woods in Canada. These custom-made rods are the lightest, most sensitive, yet toughest rods you can buy. They are "no frills" custom rods to keep them affordable, yet they are built with the same high quality components that other custom rod shops use.
Larry Murphy Musky Series - Glide Bait Rod - $245 + S&H
6'10" - Extra Heavy action - 1 to 5 oz baits
Designed by Larry to fish glide baits and top water lures for musky. These rods have an Extra Heavy action, yet feel very light in your hands. They are well balanced, and help to reduce wear and tear on the fisherman. When you're tossing 3 to 5 ounce musky baits all day, overall rod weight and quality can be a huge factor in reducing fatigue and will help keep you on the water!
Larry Murphy Musky Series - Bucktail Rod - $245 + S&H
7'3" - Heavy action - 1/4 to 1 1/2 oz baits
Designed by Larry to fish a variety of bucktails and blade type baits for musky. The longer rod (7'3") allows you to guide a bucktail or spinnerbait in and around weeds and structure. These rods have a Heavy action, yet feel very light in your hands. They are well balanced, and help to reduce wear and tear on the fisherman. Larry designed this rod, and field tested the rod on a guide trip in Canada in September of 2008. The rod was a huge success and landed 6 musky on bucktails in 4 days.
